The first step to getting help is acknowledging you have an issue that you need help dealing with or working through. Another step is reaching out to a therapist who has the education and training, as well as empathy and the ability to listen to and understand their clients' feelings. A good therapist can help clients work through problems and change anything that needs changing. They can also help clients lessen or alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, and/or conflict.
